Spam email listed from my email, how?

i was looking through my email and one of them which was obviously spam with "save % on blah blah"


but the email listed that it was from was my email


i didn't open it but i looked at the source and it was from some other email, the first 3 letters were the same but not similar to mine at all besides that


it seems really strange

Picking up your email address from an infected machine and making it appear to come from you fools the mail servers into passing it as if it was yours instead of spam blocking it..
Reply:and? you actually check spam with that much detail? sourced from another email; its just spoofing your own address as the sender so you think you sent it to yourself so must be worth clicking on
