1 Email Address - 3 Computers???

i seen this done before but dunno how to do it

you have just the one email address

and you have all emails go to all 3 computers not just the one computer.

at the moment it is setup so they all have the same email, username and password and work, but they dont recieve the same emails and its who ever checks the email first recieves the emails.

do you have to forward them via a server or exchange or something

i dun really know

please help

all i know is that all computers have to have just the one email. address because the company does not want to setup more then one pop email address or anything they just want the same one, and want the 3 computers to all recieve the same emails, so its like they are identical on each computer

if that makes sense

cheers

Is there an option for 'IMAP' from the email host? You can select to 'Keep mail on server' option, but I don't know what email client you're using, so I can't give specific instructions
Reply:Please check the settings of your e-mail client (Outlook) or any other e-mail client you are using.....note that when "Leave a copy of messages on server." should be checked..............the issue you are experiencing only happens when this option is unchecked and when one of the system or user opens his client it downloads the e-mail from the server and it deletes that e-mail from the server....which makes other users unable to download that e-mail............for more help you can refer to your e-mail clients help site......

Open Outlook 2007.

From the Tools menu, select E-mail Accounts.

Select View or change existing email accounts, and then click Next.

Select your email account, and then click More Settings.

Go to the Advanced tab, and select Leave copy of messages on the server.

Click OK, click Next, and then click Finish.

Reply:Ask the company if their mail server has IMAP capabilities. IMAP will act as a central point for al of the e-mail, keeping it consistently in sync on all 3 computers. If they do, it's as simple as adding an IMAP mail account in Outlook or similar programs.

This should resolve any issues!
