Can someone please help me sort this one out. When I send an email to an unknown address it comes back with a delivery failure message, and also if I am blocked by the person I will get the email back stating that the person is not accepting emails from me. These two situations I understand. But what if the person deleted his/her email address, will that email be returned to me with the message unknown address too?

yes. and check you have typed address properly
