Tonight I got a spam email for male drug enhancements addressed from MY EMAIL to MY EMAIL. How did this happen?
I immediately changed my password several time, so I know I have not been completely taken over. But when you change your password, yahoo is supposed to send an general information email to you just saying "hey dummy, your password has been changed". Well I NEVER got that email. I got the email in my other non-yahoo email.
HELP!!!!! What's going on?
Yahoo email hacked?
In your account profile your probably have an alternate email selected for problems, changes, or alerts.
A spammer has either created an email address identical to yours or has seen yours somewhere and used it.
It doesnt change your account. The only problem I can see is that people you know may think that you are sending them junk. Not much you can do but wait until they get tired of using it.
I doubt they are actually in your Yahoo account, only plugging it in as a sender in theirs.
Reply:You need to contact yahoo right away about this. Try doing it from a separate email account, or even better, by phone.
Also, are you sure that you didn't set the account to send the p-word change emails to your secondary account? Good luck 0_o;
