Email!?!?!?!?

Has anyone ever gotten this email I just did and was wondering if it is some kind of scam or something

Dear Customer,

Our robot has detected an abnormal activity from your IP adress

on sending e-mails. Probably it is connected with the last epidemic

of a worm which does not have official patches at the moment.

We recommend you to install this patch to remove worm files

and stop email sending, otherwise your account will be blocked.

Customer Support

Email!?!?!?!?
Where does it say its from? The letter is extremely vague, I would delete it and not download whatever it is telling you to.
Reply:YES !!!!!!!

This email is a SPOOF, and if you have downloaded the "PATCH" and clicked it, you have just got infected with about 4 trojans...

These emails are fake and always will be...

If you really had "ABNORMAL ACTIVITY DETECTED BY A BOT" your internet company would personally call you to let you know.

Do not open that file, do not click the link "PATCH", and dont send the email to other people ;).
Reply:It's a scam.
Reply:It's a hoax!!!

just ignore it
Reply:This e-mail is a trojan launcher!

Delete it and do not DL the fix...it will launch several trojans!
Reply:This is definitely a scam. If they sent you a file and told you install it, DO NOT install it.

It says that the worm has no patch, then it tells you to install a patch. That translates as "This email is BS."

There are lots of things wrong with that email. Just delete it (better yet, mark it as spam).
