why is email called email?
Email.......?
A lot of the early multi-user computer systems (CTSS, ARPAnet) simply called the system "mail".
The first reference to the term "electronic mail" I found was the research company BBN working on a project named "Mercury" in 1965 which was described as "electronic mail."
